SATI for the environment

Renaissance Heavy Industries with its Japanese partners Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sojitz, is designing and building the world’s largest gas-to-gasoline (GTG) plant in Turkmenistan. The project is located 50 km from the capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat.

The complex for the production of high-octane benzene from natural gas has a capacity of 600 Kta Petrol and 100 Kta LPG will be one of the largest and most modern plants in the world. To cool the plant, two cooling towers of 49,000 m3/h and 31,500 m3/h were built. The objectives are to keep the cooling water clean, used to guarantee maximum efficiency of the towers, and reduce water consumption.

The SATI Jumbo Rotor filters were installed in the battery directly after the seacocking work. The filters were made of AISI 316 stainless steel with a sacrificial anode to protect the internal components of the filter from marine corrosion. The entire system filters the flow rate of 1000 m3/h, required 24h/24h.

This configuration allows large volumes of water to be effectively treated, ensuring its suitability for the Oil & Gas sector. The choice of resistant materials and anti-corrosion protection highlight the attention to durability and reliability of SATI filtration systems in demanding environments.
