Case History

Within an important golf club, problems were found relating to some fungi present in the water of the lake used for irrigation of the playing fields. To avoid the formation of these fungi, the customer had created a second lake, at a suitable distance from the previous one, within which to move the water after it had been purified. In order to proceed with the right dosages of chemical products, it was necessary to eliminate solid particles and any solid contaminants.

To ensure a filtration degree of 25 µm, capable of eliminating all solid particles, which could interfere with the chemical processes of killing bacteria, and removing fungi, SATI prepares three filtration phases. The first and second filtration stages are in a single Rotor automatic filter with “O” construction form. This filter is designed to retain the largest particles up to 3,000 µm through a pre-filter, whose cleaning of the filtering surface is entrusted to the operator, and then passes to 120 µm filtration, with a “NO-STOP” self-regeneration system -FLOW”. The third refinement stage is also managed by a Rotor filter, but in “L” configuration, which offers a single, fully automatic filtration stage, with a 25 µm filter cloth. To ensure maximum efficiency also in the irrigation system, an additional Rotor filter was added, with a fi ltration level of 120 µm, positioned at the outlet of the second lake, to protect the spray nozzles of the irrigation system.
